Tissue fixation quality is good. The lack of pancreatic acinar cells is striking, suggestive of either pancreatic atrophy or failure of exocrine pancreas development. The enlargement of the few acinar cells is consistent with but not specific for a failure of cellular division. There is mild thymic involution only affecting the thymic medulla.
